Licensing – pool swimmers, open-water swimmers, artistic swimmers, water polo players, and masters swimmers
The license fee in 2026 is 35 €.
The license grants the right to participate in championship competitions organized by the Estonian Swimming Federation, as well as in competitions held in other countries.
The license transfers with the athlete when they change clubs, so there is no need to obtain a new license. You must submit a club transfer application, which you can find by clicking here.
As a new feature, you can now purchase a license via a payment link.
You can make the payment by clicking here. Please make sure to fill out the required fields correctly.
We recommend checking with the club beforehand to see if it has already applied for a license.

Excerpt from the general guidelines:
§ VI LICENSE
6.1. The license grants the right to represent an EUL member club (or a sports school administered by a local government) at competitions (including those held in other countries). A separate license is required for each water sport (swimming/open-water swimming, water polo, artistic swimming).
6.2. The license is athlete-specific. If an athlete changes clubs during the season, he or she does not need to obtain a new license.
6.3. The license is valid for one season—from January 1 through December 31.
6.4. A club may order licenses for athletes year-round, but no later than the final submission date specified in the competition rules organized by the EUL for the event in which the athlete is participating. If a license is ordered later than this deadline or if an unlicensed swimmer is discovered to have participated in a competition after the fact, a triple license fee will apply.
6.5. The cost and terms of the EUL season license are approved by the EUL General Assembly.
6.6. The deadline for paying the seasonal license fee is December 31 of the previous season.
6.7. When applying for a license, the club must list any swimmers who are not citizens.
